To make a booking we require a 50% deposit made payable by credit card or debit card. The remainder of the payment must then be made no later than 14 days before your arrival date. When booking your holiday with Bengali Holiday Cottage you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Bengali is available from 3pm on the day of arrival and must be left in a clean condition no later than 10am on the day of departure (unless otherwise agreed).
When you make a booking and payment an email confirming the dates and times of your holiday is sent to you. Booking and payment is considered the establishment of a legal contract under Scottish law.
If on your arrival you find any items or fittings including utensils, crockery or cutlery are broken, damaged or missing, please let Donald know and he will endeavour to replace it. Should there be significant damage during your stay you will be held responsible for and must make good to the lowest value. We reserve the right to charge for excessive cleaning when the house has been left in an unacceptable condition.
We can not be held responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen property
Pets are welcome - please do contact us in advance to get approval as certain pets may not be suitable.
We would be very grateful if you did not smoke within the house, however you are free to smoke outside.
We reserve the right to remove anyone from the property in any circumstance involving unreasonable behaviour or damage to the property.
If we have confirmed your booking and for any reason Bengali is not available due to circumstances beyond our control we will refund the deposit and balance in full. The tenant will have no further claim against the proprietor.
We understand that circumstances change and emergencies occur. If a booking is cancelled before the 6 weeks prior to arrival then the deposit will be refunded minus a 25% admin fee. Deposits will not be returned for cancellations less than 6 weeks before arrival.
The proprietor shall be allowed the right of entry at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out necessary repairs.
The proprietor shall provide all information relating to the property and its safe use within the property. It is your responsibility to read this in full and accept the conditions within this on arrival. Should you have any questions or concerns about the information provided, please speak to our manager who will be able to provide further information and advice.
Prize Draws offered by the proprietor in relation to any aspect of the property or the booking conditions are subject to availability, change and conditions at any time up until you receive booking confirmation. One you receive confirmation, you accept all other terms and conditions as laid out on this website. You are responsible for all travel to and from the property as if you were booking the property as normal. You accept that you will receive on occasion promotional emails from Bengali Holidays or their representatives unless you send an email and request to be removed from our mailing list. Prizes drawn 30 days after the end of the advertised day or month. If the prize has been promoted via facebook, conditions advertised on facebook also apply although any submission by email via the form on this site will be accepted as an entry into any facebook prize draw.
Any promotions advertised on Facebook or Google Ads will be offered subject to the terms and conditions as noted above. We require that at the time of booking, you make sure that you clearly ask for the promotion to be applied to the standard advertised rate at the time of booking and not any later than confirmation being issued. We are unable to offer any discounted rate after confirmation of the booking has been issued. Promotions may be withdrawn at any time.
